PRICE FIRST TAXIS

Putting a trusted local taxi company back in the driver’s seat

OUR WORK > PRICE FIRST TAXIS

Brand refresh, website design and ongoing social media marketing

Price First Taxis had built a strong reputation for providing a dependable local taxi service across Torbay.

But while customers trusted the business, its branding and online presence didn’t reflect the quality, reliability or personality behind it.

Owners Paul and Chris had already worked with several designers, but nothing had quite clicked. After a series of disappointing experiences, they had understandably begun to lose confidence in the creative process.

When they spotted one of our leaflets, they decided to give it another go.

We worked closely with Paul and Chris to create a professional, recognisable and accessible identity that could work everywhere, from business cards and leaflets to stadium advertising, social media, digital booking and a new website.

Our relationship has continued beyond the initial project, with ongoing social media marketing helping Price First remain visible, share useful information and stay connected with customers across Torbay.

The result was more than a refreshed logo.

Price First finally had a brand that felt like their business, supported by a clear website and consistent marketing that made it easier for customers to recognise, trust and book with them.

A reliable business let down by its branding

Price First Taxis had already earned the trust of its customers.

The team provided a reliable local service and had become a familiar name across Torbay, but the company’s branding didn’t communicate the professionalism or personality of the business behind it.

Paul and Chris had tried to address the problem before.

They had worked with several designers, but the results never quite felt right. The branding attempts hadn’t captured who they were, and the experience had left them feeling frustrated and uncertain about whether anyone would understand what they were trying to achieve.

The challenge wasn’t simply to produce another logo.

Price First needed an identity that felt right to Paul and Chris, worked practically across the business and gave them renewed confidence in the way the company presented itself.

Rebuilding confidence through a collaborative process

From our first meeting, it was clear that Paul and Chris wanted to feel involved in the process.

They knew their business, their customers and the reputation they had worked hard to build. Our job was to listen, understand what hadn’t worked previously and turn their ideas into a clear visual direction.

Rather than presenting them with something disconnected from the business, we worked collaboratively, explaining the thinking behind the design and helping them see how each decision would work in practice.

This gave Paul and Chris confidence in the direction as it developed and ensured the finished identity felt like a genuine reflection of Price First.

The process was just as important as the final design.

After losing faith in working with creative professionals, they needed to know their ideas were being heard and that every element had a clear purpose.

Creating a brand that worked for everyone

There was another important consideration behind the design: Paul is colour-blind.

This meant the identity couldn’t rely on subtle colour differences to communicate effectively. It needed strong contrast, clear shapes and a visual style that remained recognisable and easy to understand.

We refreshed the Price First logo and developed an identity that felt professional, dependable and distinctive, with enough personality to stand out in a busy local market.

Accessibility was considered from the beginning rather than treated as an afterthought.

The result was a practical identity that worked for Paul, the wider team and Price First’s customers, while giving the business a stronger and more confident presence.

Creating a website that made booking feel simple

Once the new identity was established, Price First needed a website that could bring everything together.

Customers often arrive on a taxi website because they need to make a quick decision. They want to know whether the company covers their area, whether it can provide the right vehicle and, most importantly, how to book.

We created a clear, mobile-friendly website that quickly introduces the service and gives customers straightforward routes to book online, download the Price First app or call the team directly.

The website explains the different ways Price First can help, from short local journeys and nights out to airport transfers, business travel and longer journeys across the UK.

It also brings important reassurance into the customer journey by highlighting the company’s experience, large fleet, round-the-clock availability and commitment to safe, reliable travel.

Rather than overwhelming visitors with information, the website helps them understand their options and take the next step with confidence.

The new brand runs throughout the design, connecting the online experience with the vehicles, app and marketing customers encounter elsewhere.

Taking the identity beyond the logo

A successful rebrand needs to work in the real world, not simply look good on a screen.

For Price First, that meant creating a flexible identity that could appear consistently across many different formats and locations.

We applied the branding to leaflets, business cards, compliment slips and email signatures, helping every everyday interaction feel more professional and connected.

Digital assets, including an app splash screen and social media graphics, carried the same identity into the online booking experience.

We also designed billboard and advertising materials for Plainmoor Stadium, giving Price First greater visibility within the local community.

Pop-up banners and exhibition materials helped the team present the business professionally at networking events and expos.

Whether someone encountered Price First through a leaflet, the website, an email, social media, the app or a large advertising board, the business now looked and felt recognisably the same.

Keeping the brand moving through social media

The launch of the new brand and website wasn’t the end of our work together.

We continue to support Price First with ongoing social media marketing, creating regular content that keeps the business visible and gives customers useful reasons to stay connected.

The content promotes the different ways people can use the service, from everyday local journeys and nights out to airport transfers, business travel and group bookings.

It also helps Price First highlight its app, share customer reviews, support driver recruitment and respond to seasonal opportunities and events happening across Torbay.

Alongside the more service-led messages, we bring in local personality and community-focused content so the social media channels don’t feel like a constant stream of adverts.

This ongoing activity keeps the brand active between bookings and reminds customers that Price First is there whenever they need to get somewhere.

Because the social media content follows the same identity and tone as the website, app and printed materials, every part of the marketing feels connected.

Giving the business a stronger local presence

Price First already had an established name and reputation, so the purpose of the rebrand wasn’t to change the business customers knew.

It was to give that reputation a clearer and more memorable identity.

The new marketing materials helped Price First stand out across Torbay, while the stadium advertising and exhibition displays gave the business a more confident presence within the local community.

The website made it easier for customers to understand the services available and choose how they wanted to book.

Ongoing social media marketing continues to build upon that foundation, keeping the company visible, relevant and connected with local customers throughout the year.

Each element supports the next, creating a more consistent journey from first seeing the brand to choosing a service and booking a taxi.

From losing faith to proudly showing off the brand

One of the most rewarding moments was seeing Price First proudly displaying its new identity at the Riviera Connect Expo.

After struggling for so long to find a brand that felt right, Paul and Chris finally had something they were happy to put in front of customers, partners and the wider business community.

The completed website gave that identity a permanent online home and made it easier for customers to discover the full range of services and book in the way that suited them.

Ongoing social media marketing has helped Price First continue building upon the initial project, keeping the brand visible and giving the business a regular way to communicate with existing and potential customers.

Price First now has a consistent foundation across its website, app, social media, printed materials, digital communications and local advertising.

It looks professional without losing the approachable, local personality behind the business.

More importantly, the experience restored Paul and Chris’s confidence in the creative process and developed into an ongoing relationship.

Is your brand taking your business in the right direction?

Your business may already provide a brilliant service, but if the branding feels inconsistent, the website is difficult to use or your marketing disappears for weeks at a time, potential customers may not see the full value of what you offer.

A successful brand isn’t created through one logo or one marketing campaign.

It comes from presenting your business clearly and consistently across your website, social media and every other place customers encounter you.

If your business deserves a brand, website and ongoing marketing you’re proud to show off, let’s talk it through.
